Having originally formed as an association of the Judicial officers of the Travancore Cochin state to promote unity, welfare and friendly interaction among its members under the permission of the state government obtained in 1952, the association stood for the welfare of the judicial officers of the Kerala state for the past 60 years. It took its prominent role in securing the present day service benefits for its members through constant efforts including series of litigations. After the integration of the civil and criminal judicial wings of the subordinate judiciary by way of implementing the FNJPC recommendations, the Kerala Magistrates ( Judicial) Association and the Kerala Judicial officers Association joined hands in 2010 and continued to function as the Kerala Judicial Officers Association. At present, the association is the single association for the officers of the Kerala Judicial service – both the subordinate and the higher judicial services.
